Pastor Harness leaves Yakima to start a mission church in East Wenatchee. On April 30, 1982, Pastor Kurt Gieschen in installed as the next Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church. Pastor Kurt serves Christ Lutheran for almost 20 years until accepting a call to Emmanuel Lutheran in Longview Washington on January 1, 2002.

Christ Lutheran begins the process of calling a new pastor for the first time in twenty years and interim pastors Bob and Karen Edwards are installed on April 14, 2002 and serve until the fall of 2003.

Pastor Carol Nelson begins her ministry at Christ Lutheran as she is installed as our pastor beginning February 1, 2004. On May 10, 2009, Christ Lutheran celebrates it 50th anniversary with a dinner and a special service attended by many former and current members and friends. Pastor Carol retires on October 1, 2009 after almost six years of serving Christ Lutheran.

Christ Lutheran Church begins a time of transition with the installation of Pastor Jillian Ross in October of 2009 as our interim pastor.
